Bruna is a Registered Clinical Counsellor located in Vancouver, BC, offering individuals in-person, phone and video counselling. She is dedicated to supporting people struggling with chronic pain, anxiety, and depression. Drawing from her own experience with chronic pain/illness, she understands the emotional challenges it brings. There might be relationship shifts, the toll of navigating complex diagnoses, the health care system, and adapting daily activities. She strives to create a safe, inclusive, and collaborative space where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours while working toward a meaningful life.

Using evidence-based approaches, primarily Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Bruna helps clients develop psychological flexibility, which is the ability to adapt to changing situations, trying to be more open to experiences instead of avoiding them, and commit to behaviours that align with one’s values. In addition, Bruna brings mindfulness practices and self-compassion strategies to help you be in the present moment more and create a healthier relationship with yourself.

Bruna is warm and approachable, likes to see the best in people, and is extremely human. Just like you are, she wants you to feel safe, seen and comfortable during the sessions.

In her spare time, she loves to be in nature with her partner and dog. Also, she loves to add movement to her days (when she is able). She also likes to read, listen to podcasts and audiobooks.
