Danièle is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) in Victoria providing in-person sessions in downtown Victoria as well as secure video or telephone counselling to individual adults and young adults (16 and over). A native French speaker, Danièle offers counselling services in English or French. Areas of focus include managing stress and anxiety, grief and loss, and supporting individuals through school, career, and life transitions. Having worked in the field of education for nearly a decade, both in the classroom and as a school and guidance counsellor, Danièle understands many challenges faced by educators, parents, and youth in the education system today.
A parent of young children herself, Danièle is passionate about supporting other parents in all stages of the parenting journey. She also specializes is supporting individuals through perinatal mental health concerns, including post-partum anxiety and depression.
Danièle’s approach to counselling is grounded in curiosity and compassion. She uses evidence-based modalities to help clients become aware of and acknowledge their felt experiences, emotions, thoughts, and core beliefs. Modalities utilized in sessions include Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Somatic Mindfulness, and Internal Family Systems.
Danièle is currently undergoing the certification process to become a licensed practitioner of Compassionate Inquiry, a psychotherapeutic approach to trauma developed by Dr. Gabor Mate.
