Jae is a Canadian Certified Counsellor offering online counselling via phone or video. For the past 15 years Jae has served as a counsellor for varied clients, working with adults and children. She is well-trained in evidence-based treatment methods and certified in a range of techniques including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), PTSD Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. This allows Jae to tailor her approach to each individual’s unique strengths.
Jae believes that everyone is expert in their own lives, and that her job is to support people to find their own answers to their problems, helping them remove the obstacles that prevent them from achieving their goals. Regardless of age, people face different problems. Some problems are common; others are more serious. Many people feel continually defeated by their lives, or isolated from the world.
Jae creates a safe psychological place for her clients and approaches her work from a place of care and compassion, with the desire to really understand the individuals she works with. Every day, Jae learns from her clients and draws inspiration from their inner strength.
Jae received her master’s degree in counselling psychology from the University of British Columbia and is a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. Since completing her degree she has continued to train in new approaches and methods, staying current with the most recent psychological research.
