Tammy Lee is a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).  She is also a Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Professional (CVRP).  She is available for online counselling via phone or video during evenings and weekends.  Tammy brings over 10 years of experience in the field of mental health and vocational rehabilitation.  Her work history includes non-profit organizations, rehabilitation hospital, post-secondary schools, and private practice. She is a former adjunct professor in the Department of Educational & Counselling Psychology & Special Education in the Faculty of Education at the University of British Columbia.

Tammy provides effective strategies and assistance to clients with anxiety, stress, depressed mood, confidence issues, career counselling/vocational rehabilitation, and job-related concerns.   She focuses on helping clients recognize what is important for them and their potential, how to develop practical action plans to achieve positive results in improving wellness and enhancing personal growth.  Considering each client’s unique circumstances, Tammy uses different therapeutic techniques to help find better solutions on how to deal with difficult emotions, limiting beliefs, challenges, or negative thoughts.  Therapy sessions are structured and based on mainly Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness practice, Person-centered therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.  For clients looking for career guidance, various career exploration tools and labour market information are used to look at interests, suitable job possibilities, resources, and training options.  She also provides vocational rehab counselling such as return to work planning support after injury or illness.
