Martin Olson, MA, RCC

Martin is a Registered Clinical Counsellor located in Vancouver, BC, providing in-person and online counselling. Martin helps people with a range of challenges, including ADHD, anxiety, depression, relationships, substance abuse, work issues, life meaning, self-esteem, and self-exploration. He believes that by focusing on creating a good connection with his clients helps to unlock their capacity for insight and understanding and working through the challenges they face.

Martin believes in taking an integrative and holistic approach to healing and personal growth. He appreciates the interconnected nature of things and strives to help his clients understand their challenges and aspirations in both a broad and deep way. He also believes in being flexible and open with his clients, recognizing everyone’s uniqueness and avoiding any kind of cookie cutter, one-size fits all approach. In addition, Martin sees counselling as both an art and a science, and he brings a humility and openness to his work while also being grounded in science and theory.

Martin also believes that inside of everyone is an innate capacity to truly flourish and live an outstanding life. He also believes that challenges and obstacles can make life great, and that if we relate to these challenges and obstacles in the right way then we can overcome them and continue our climb and our life journey. He also believes in taking a positive approach to mental health and wellbeing and in keeping our eyes on the prize. By imagining the life we want to live, Martin believes that we can begin to map out our journey and stay inspired to live the life we want to live.
