Rates and Direct Billing

Rates

Fees for counselling services:

  • Individual therapy (50 – 60 minutes): Starting at $160
  • Couples or Family therapy (50 – 60 minutes): Starting at $180

Our counsellors do not offer sliding scales at this time. 24 hours notice is required before cancelling or rescheduling an appointment to avoid being charged for the full cost of the missed appointment. We accept all major credit cards including Visa and Mastercard Debit, but do not accept e-transfers.

Direct Billing

Direct billing can be tricky so we have provided a lot of information. We are pleased to offer this courtesy service to as many plans as possible. At this time, the following insurers often allow direct billing for counselling services:

  • Greenshield
  • Manulife
  • Canada Life (except Plan #50088)
  • Canadian Construction Workers Union
  • Chambers of Commerce Group Insurance
  • Johnson Group Inc.

If you do not see your plan listed, contact us to confirm whether direct billing may be possible. We are not able to direct bill to Pacific Blue Cross, Sun Life Insurance, First Nations Health Authority, Crime Victims Assistance Program, ICBC or Canada Life Plan #50088.

Direct billing depends on the specific insurance plan and insurer approval.  Insurance companies occasionally change their claims processes without notice and direct billing availability may change.

When selecting a counsellor, confirm what professional designations your insurance plan accepts for counselling services as we are not able to determine that due to privacy limitations .

If your plan appears eligible, please email us a photo of your insurance policy. If the person attending the session is not the primary plan member, let us know and provide the date of birth of both the primary plan member and the person attending the session. For couples or family counselling, the appointment must be booked under the name of the person who requires the receipt, and that person must attend the session.

Finally, a credit card must be kept on file, as clients remain responsible for any portion not covered by insurance or if a claim is not accepted by the insurer.

Contact us if you have any questions.
