Trauma and PTSD

Trauma is most often stored in our brain following an event where we experienced a loss of control. If you have been through a car accident, physical/emotional/sexual abuse, victim of a crime, bullying in the workplace, repetitive discrimination or witnessing abuse, you may find trauma counselling to be very beneficial. Without professional help, Post Traumatic Stress may cause a person to continuously relive traumatic experiences for the rest of their life.

Anger Management

One of the most basic human emotions, anger is a normal response to feeling threatened by people or situations. While it might not appear to be a problem for you, you may find that anger effects the relationships you have with those around you. Often a person is not even aware of the source of their emotions. WayPoint can guide you in identifying these emotional triggers and cultivating a more steady emotional state.

Depression

Since depression is made worse by feelings of isolation, seeking out counselling can be very rewarding. Sadness can often be managed by taking such action as exercise or hobbies. However, when it feels beyond your control, it can be useful to get reassurance from your doctor and find out if you could benefit from professional help.

Addictions & Substance Use

Addiction can be described as needing a substance or activity to be able to cope with daily life.
