Addictions & Substance Use
Addiction can be described as needing a substance or activity to be able to cope with daily life. It can be present in many areas including (but not limited to) gambling, pornography, eating, internet, or drugs and it is often hard to discern when the dependence requires attention. Waypoint can complete an assessment to find out if your habits need to be addressed.

Our counsellors are equipped with the tools required to work through any issues that emerge in a relationship and will provide you with strategies to overcome obstacles in the future.
Depression
Since depression is made worse by feelings of isolation, seeking out counselling can be very rewarding. Sadness can often be managed by taking such action as exercise or hobbies. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a mainstream evidence-based therapy that is used to treatment trauma, anxiety, depression and other mental health concerns.
