Rawda Tomoum, MS, RCC, CCC

Rawda is a Registered Clinical Counsellor, a Canadian Certified Counsellor, and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional who specializes in couples therapy, depression, anxiety, and trauma treatment. She provides online counselling and in-person counselling in her office in Burnaby, BC. Rawda completed Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from the University of Texas at Tyler and actively pursues continuing education to ensure that she provides a safe space for her clients to share their struggles and learn practical tools to reach better wellbeing and inner peace. Whether struggling with stress, depression, anxiety, trauma, or wanting couples counselling, Rawda is happy to offer the guidance needed to overcome these challenges, one step at a time.

It takes more than love to make a relationship work, and day-to-day challenges or stressors can make it difficult to nourish a relationship. Rawda can help you and your partner rebuild your connection, nourish your relationship, and develop and learn the skills that make relationships work. With Rawda’s guidance, you can learn the tips and tricks that will get you through and help you build a stronger bond.

Rawda has extensive trauma training that enables her to help individuals heal from previous trauma whether it’s a safety-threatening event or an abusive relationship. She can also help clients overcome depression and anxiety, or embark on a journey toward self-discovery and figuring out life-direction. Rawda also frequently works with immigrants (1st and 2nd generation) who are navigating building a home away from home. As someone from the Middle East herself, Rawda has a strong understanding of the immigrant experience, particularly of that cultural background. She has lived in many culturally diverse communities, which has exposed her to different backgrounds and enabled her to practice from a culturally competent lens.  Rawda offers her services in English and Arabic.
