Rawda Tomoum

Rawda is not accepting new clients.

Rawda is a Registered Clinical Counsellor, a Canadian Certified Counsellor, and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. She provides online counselling, and in-person counselling in her office in Burnaby, BC.  She also specializes in the Gottman Method of Couples Therapy, an evidence-based treatment approach, as well as depression,  anxiety, and trauma.  Rawda is happy to offer direction needed to overcome these challenges, one step at a time. She works to provide a safe space for people to share their struggles and learn concrete practical tools to reach better wellbeing.

In Rawda’s work with couples, she knows it takes more than love to make a relationship work, and day-to-day challenges and stressors can make it difficult to nourish a relationship. Rawda can help you and your partner rebuild your connection, nourish your relationship, and develop and learn the skills that make relationships work. With Rawda, you will learn the evidence-based methods that will help you build a stronger bond.

Rawda also has extensive trauma training and is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. She helps individuals heal from previous trauma, whether it’s a safety-threatening event or an abusive relationship. She can also help to overcome depression and anxiety, or embark on a journey toward self-discovery and navigating life-direction.

Rawda also frequently works with first and second generation immigrants who are navigating building a new life and home. From the Middle East herself, Rawda has a strong understanding of the immigrant experience, particularly of that cultural background. Rawda offers her services in English and Arabic.
