Ashley Berg, MSW, RSW

Ashley is a Registered Social Worker (RSW) in Kelowna, BC providing counselling in-person online by phone or video.  She provides counselling to children over 5 years, adults, couples and families. Ashley’s experience includes, but is not limited to ADHD, anxiety, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, depression, undiagnosed behavioral difficulties, and trauma.

Her approach to counselling is to meet you where you are at, and to provide guidance, insight, and the skills to help you help yourself. She helps people identify unhelpful thought patterns and teaches her clients how to challenge their negative thoughts. She stresses the importance of taking care of yourself on a daily basis and engaging in self-care. She helps adults struggling with mental health issues, navigating life transitions and relationship issues, providing them with healthy coping tools to manage day to day stressors.  She incorporates mindfulness-based approaches and somatic awareness into her sessions. Ashley is very warm, open-minded, and her counselling services offer a calming and comfortable environment for her clients.

Ashley’s work with children and youth specializes in moderate to severe mental health disorders and those who are neurodiverse. When it comes to working with this population, Ashley approaches issues by considering the family as whole. This means working with families to provide psychoeducation, therapy, and support.
