Eric Addleman is a Registered Clinical Counsellor located on Vancouver Island who provides telephone and video counselling services for individuals and couples.  Eric specializes in working with individuals who are experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, interpersonal issues, life transitions, identity issues, men’s issues and self-esteem struggles. He also works with couples needing support in their relationship to strengthen communication, manage tension and reconnect.  Eric believes in utilizing client strengths to empower individuals in overcoming their individual and relationship challenges.

Eric operates from an integrated, humanistic approach and utilizes relational life therapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy, solution-focused therapy and emotion focused therapy that are tailored to address client needs.  Clients describe Eric as warm, engaging, empathetic and relatable. Eric understands that life is nuanced and he is committed to working with clients to achieve their therapeutic goals.

Eric has a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology, is a member of the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors and has undertaken extensive training in crisis management. Eric has completed post-graduate certification in Emotion Focused Individual Therapy (Levels 1 and 2), Gottman Method (Level 1) and is currently undertaking a 2 year mentorship program in Relational Life Therapy. Outside of work, Eric enjoys hiking with his dogs and spending time with his wife and daughter.
