Julia is a Registered Clinical Counsellor offering online and in-person counselling in Victoria, BC. She works with both individuals and couples. Julia is highly experienced and works with clients on issues such as anxiety, depression, grief and loss, parenting, and sleep issues, to name a few. She knows that life can leave you feeling lost, sad, and alone, as if you’re carrying a weight no one else can see. Sometimes even the simplest tasks seem overwhelming and no matter what you do, change might seem like it’s always just outside your reach. Maybe anxiety holds you back, keeps you small and afraid, stops you from living the life you want. Perhaps your relationship is like a battlefield, filled with constant conflict, or the connection between you has faded into dead air, leaving both of you longing to find your way back to each other-to feel understood, loved, and like you’re on the same team. Or maybe grief has settled in your heart and you’re seeking a soft place to land.

Julia is curious, empathetic and flexible in her approach , providing an open, non-judgmental space where you can show up exactly as you are. She is here to support you, offer compassion, guidance, and the tools you need. She will start with really getting to the core of what you’re going through and what truly matters to you. From there, you will together work on what you’d like to be different, to create the roadmap for the life or relationship you want. Julia uses a range of approaches, depending on the need, including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Integrative Behavioural Couples Therapy.

With over a decade of experience, Julia’s background spans crisis intervention, individual, couples, family, child and youth counselling, facilitating therapy groups, and training and supervising other counsellors.
