Martin is a Registered Clinical Counsellor located in Vancouver, BC offering online and in-person individual counselling for youth and adults. Martin has flexible availability for daytime and evening sessions and appreciates working with a variety of clients. In the past he has helped clients who have challenges with substance use, relationships, communication, ADHD, motivation, finding meaning, self-esteem, anxiety, anger, depression and grief.
Martin approaches counselling in an open and intuitive way with a strong foundation in the existential-humanistic approach. In addition, Martin likes to draw on a variety of modalities in an eclectic way. Some of the modalities and philosophies that Martin likes to draw on include mindfulness (ACT, DBT, MBCT), transpersonal, cognitive behavioural, solution focused, narrative, interpersonal, emotion-focused, Adlerian and Jungian psychology. Above all, Martin believes that presence and connection are the key ingredients to successful and productive therapy.
Outside of therapy, Martin has a wide range of hobbies and interests. He’s a music lover who likes going to festivals and concerts, plays guitar, and DJs. Martin loves getting outside, staying active and playing sports. He’s a die hard Canucks fan and enjoys following pro sports in general, especially hockey, baseball and football. Martin also enjoys watching movies and TV and appreciates downtime to meditate and reflect on life.
