Sandra Medina
, MA, RCCRegistered Clinical Counsellor
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor offering online and in-person counselling in Victoria, BC for youth, adults, couples and families. I have extensive experience in supporting clients with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), addiction, depression, anxiety, relationships, self-esteem issues, and domestic violence. I also have worked with couples and families in helping them manage situations like divorce, infidelity, communication issues, and parenting.
As a therapist, it is my passion to create a safe and confidential space to give you an opportunity to mentally and emotionally feel change in the challenges they are facing. It is my privilege to help people heal through a well thought out therapeutic process. This includes working together to uncover patterns that are causing you to feel stuck and finding hope and change to live a more healthy and positive life. I believe everyone is capable of change with the right support and guidance, and I am here to provide that.
The counselling approaches I use are evidence-based and include cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), narrative, solution-focused therapy, trauma-informed, and systems therapy. I bring in a psycho-bio-social and neuropsychology lens to my treatment planning, which my clients have found effective in managing their mental health challenges. With my experience, I specifically tailor my approach to your needs in order to support you on your healing journey.
I provide counselling in two languages: English and Spanish.
